During Berlin Fashion Week, PLN‑GNS once again redefines the boundaries of contemporary fashion with AW26: “ERROR AS ASSET.” The collection positions waste, error, and imperfection as active design elements, transforming discarded materials into garments that feel both conceptual and profoundly wearable.

While the full collection spans 30 looks, a few key pieces encapsulate the visionary approach of the brand. The ICONIC pieces, meticulously constructed from discarded sneakers, exemplify the intersection of art and utility, with every stitch and layer transformed through intensive handcraft into singular, one-of-a-kind garments. In contrast, the SIGNATURE pieces blend stock fabrics and production remnants with sneaker components, creating a more accessible, limited capsule while maintaining the brand’s circular logic.
Grâtteau celebrates PLN‑GNS’s daring material choices and masterful craftsmanship, which elevate sustainable fashion into the realm of high art. A single ICONIC garment can require up to 80 hours of manual labor, with hundreds of sneakers repurposed in each seasonal collection.
The collection rejects traditional gender divisions, working with two fit systems—feminine and masculine—to create a balanced, inclusive presentation. Styling by Gianni.vas sharpens silhouettes, intensifying the tension and conceptual impact of each look. Makeup serves as social commentary, with visual cues referencing frostbite and snow, reflecting the reality in Ukraine, where attacks on civilian energy infrastructure have left populations without electricity and heating.
Presented in a hybrid runway–installation within a historic Berlin villa, the few showcased looks convey the essence of ERROR AS ASSET: a dialogue between tradition and disruption, stillness and movement, where fashion becomes both a statement and a systemic critique.Through this selection of standout pieces, PLN‑GNS demonstrates that concept, sustainability, and artistry can coexist, earning praise from Grâtteau for their innovative vision, dedication to material exploration, and exceptional craftsmanship.
